Introducing Funko Playmobil

Funko has teamed with Playmobil to bring us more retro 1980’s greatness with the new Funko Playmobil figures. The joint effort was originally mentioned back in February 2016 telling several of the items that we’d be seeing in the 6 inch figures, including Ghostubsters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Back to the Future & more. Now we can finally get the classic Playmobil look on these Funko licensed products this year.

My personal favorites are the two Ghostbusters. Hopefully we’ll get Egon & Winston to join these two as well as the Ecto-1.

Another Franchise I’d like to see taken on in this style would be He-man.

Playmobil is located in Zirndorf, Germany & was created in 1974 by Hans Beck. The figures are 2 ¾ inches tall. Funko was founded in 1998 by Mike Becker to be a bobble head company. In 2005 he sold the company to Brian Mariotti who began licensed products which has made Funko one of the best toy makers with products ranging from Pop figures to Dorbz, key chains, pens & t-shirts.
