If you’re a kid from the 1980’s you know the Smurfs from Saturday morning cartoons & tons of little PVC figures…I bet you had a whole Smurf village in your room…it’s OK…I had Smurfs where I was a kid…my wife had tons…to this day Smurfs are popular as ever with new ones being created…but being a Smurf fan doesn’t stop there…recently in France Smurf fans gathered at a carnival to beat the Guinness World Record of the most Smurfs in one place…the old record was held from the country of Germany when 2,762 Smurfs gathered in Lauchringen in 2019…those in France beat the record with 3,549 Smurfs…which equals 787 MORE Smurfs…
The Smurfs were of course created in the 1950’s by Belgian cartoonist Peyo (real name Pierre Culliford)…
